On 28 April 2026, For.ME Handmade Goods Social Cooperative Enterprise organized four parallel craft workshops as part of the European Hands Across Generations (H.A.G.) project, creating a vibrant space where different generations came together through the shared language of craftsmanship.
The workshops showcased the power of intergenerational learning, giving young participants the opportunity to learn directly from four experienced artisans from the For.ME network. Through hands-on activities, participants explored traditional craft techniques while discovering the value of creativity, collaboration, and the preservation of Europe’s cultural heritage.
The activities focused on the creative reuse of materials, demonstrating how traditional craftsmanship can contribute to sustainability and the circular economy. Under the guidance of skilled makers, participants developed practical skills while experiencing the importance of knowledge sharing between generations.

- Patchwork Technique with artisan Rena Christodoulou
- Appliqué Technique with artisan Thomai Mitsa Marougianni
- Traditional Rag Rug (Kourelou) Weaving with artisan Natasa Karra
- Decorative Composition Using Fabric and Driftwood with artisan Maria-Theano Ydragogou
The workshops concluded with creativity, inspiration, and meaningful exchanges between generations, demonstrating that traditional craftsmanship remains a powerful tool for education, social inclusion, and cultural continuity. By bringing together experienced artisans and young learners, the activities reinforced the importance of preserving traditional knowledge while encouraging innovation and sustainable creative practices.
